Mission:

To support caregivers through education, leadership development, and a variety of networking opportunities which will enhance the professional visibility of caregivers and improve quality of care in Wisconsin’s long term care system.

Who We Are:

The Wisconsin Direct Caregiver Alliance (WIDCA) is a not-for-profit direct care worker association established in 2006 to strengthen long-term care services by recognizing and supporting the development of direct caregivers.  We strive to:

• Create positive change in the quality of long term care in Wisconsin by improving the quality of the direct caregiving job
• Explore and understand the long term care workforce trends that are unique to Wisconsin and inform our membership about them
• Work in collaboration with workers, consumers, employers, and other partners to improve the long term care system in Wisconsin

The Wisconsin Board for People with Developmental Disabilities (BPDD), the Wisconsin Direct Caregiver Alliance (WIDCA), and the Direct Care Alliance Voices Institute are proud to announce Advocacy Voices Together.  This is a unique training program for people who want to improve the lives of direct support workers and the people they support.
